The Golden Leaf Yearbook earns Silver Medalist with CSPA

The Golden Leaf Yearbook's 2023 "Five Words" yearbook received “Silver Medalist” in Columbia Scholastic Press Association’s (CSPA) rigorous judging for the 2022-2023 school year.

In addition to the recognition from CSPA, the Golden Leaf Yearbook has also received accolades from other prestigious organizations, including the ASPA First Place Award and a Superior Ranking from THSPA for their previous editions.

“This follows our First ASPA First Place Award and our Superior Ranking with THSPA for the 2023 book ‘Five Words,’” Mr. Judkins, The Golden Leaf yearbook adviser, said.

Administered through the Columbia University Pre-College Program at the Columbia University School of Professional Studies, the Columbia Scholastic Press Association has fostered camaraderie and excellence among student journalists and their faculty advisers since 1925.

Owned by Columbia University, CSPA is a hub for scholastic journalism excellence. Each year, student journalists and faculty advisers eagerly anticipate the results of the CSPA judging, which is seen as a benchmark of excellence in scholastic journalism.

Looking ahead, the team behind the Golden Leaf Yearbook is excited to continue their tradition of excellence with the upcoming 2024 edition, titled "Traditions Run Deep."

"can’t wait to see what the 2024 book ‘Traditions Run Deep’ will do in competition," Mr. Judkins said.
