The Golden Leaf Yearbook's 2024 "Tradition Runs Deep: 170 Years" yearbook received "First Place" in the student enrollment category of 1001-1700 students in the 2024 American Scholastic Press Association (ASPA) Awards.
"The Golden Leaf has won the First Place Award in APSA's annual yearbook compeition. Your yearbook shows a growing knowledge in the fields of writing, photography and page design and contains elements and sections of a memorial yearbook that will be treasured for years to come," ASPA said.
Each school yearbook across the country is scored on a point system and is awarded a FIRST, SECOND, or THIRD PLACE in its enrollment classification.
"This was an incredible accomplishment for the staff of the Golden Leaf, especially following our "Superior Yearbook" for Tennessee THSPA award and the National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) "First Class" recognition for this book. I could not be prouder of our yearbook staff, both graduated and current members," Mr. Judkins, yearbook adviser, said.
