The results for the service postal match have been posted, and the Bear Longrifles had its strongest finish in about eight years.
Placing in the top 10 teams moves a team to service national championships to compete against JROTC programs from all services.
Of 132 teams and 1072 individual competitors, MJHS results were as follows.
Category | Place | Ranking |
Whole Team | 21/132 | top 16% nationally |
Kevin White | 71/1072 | TOP SHOT |
Frankie Correa | 89/1072 | top 8% |
Carson Way | 156/1072 | top 15% |
James Courtney | 207/1072 | top 19% |
"Although we didn’t land in the top 10, we were very close," SGM Clark said. "Our Bear Longrifles really did well, beating some very formidable teams, including one of our biggest traditional rivals, our sister program at Tullahoma, plus landing two of our shooters in the top 10%. When you see our team members, please give them a well-earned congrats."
The USMC Postal match is the annual national 3P air rifle match across the entire JROTC program.
